And the Fun Continues......
Well, the Griners are at it again. At least, Landon and Addi are. So far they are the only ones who have come down with the flu! Yes, the flu! We have been under the weather now for many days. This is the second week, we have been "home bound" due to illness. Luckily, no one else has gotten it and I really hope no one does. It is yucky stuff. I had not seen Landon that sick since he was 4 months old and Addi has never been this sick. The doctor put them both on Tamiflu, which has already helped Landon a lot. Apparently if you catch the flu within the first 48 hours they can give you Tamiflu to inhibit the virus from reproducing any further in your system. This in turn alleviates further symptoms from persisting. I did not know they could do anything for flu at all, so I was very happy we could do something to help them get better faster. So, FYI, if you think you or your kids have the flu, it is very advantageous to catch it in the first 48 hours. Go on in for a "fun" nose swab!!
In other news, John and Andi and Mike all went to Winterfest in Gatlinburg this past weekend. They had a lot of fun and were exhausted when returning on Sunday! I was glad they had fun. It was probably better for them to be away from this house anyway due to all the germs that I am sure are floating around. I don't think I have ever used so much Clorox Anywhere Spray!
Last week, everyone had a nice Valentine's Day! Even though Landon was really sick he was excited about his new truck shirt. I have posted some Valentine pictures below and tried again to post video, but for some reason it never works for me.
I hope everyone else is staying well! Until further news......
John modeling Landon's new truck shirt! Maybe a little small!
Landon opening his candy tool box.
Addi showing us her frustrated look because she couldn't get her box open!
I think she likes her new "heart inspired" shirt!
Landon's been wearing this hat a lot lately! You can probably tell he is not looking his best.
John holding up his valentine boxers. It is a tradition that John always gets new holiday inspired boxers for just about every holiday :)
Chocolate is always nice too!
Andi always gets holiday inspired socks! She likes to wear fun and crazy socks!
Andi being silly with her card!!

Addison Grace turns 2 !!!
Today we celebrated Addison Grace's second birthday. We had a family party here complete with lots of balloons. G-Mama was here along with Uncle Bryan, Aunt Ryan, Mary Paul, Uncle Dave and Aunt Samantha. We also had some friends from church DeAnna, Allie and Mya here too. Addi was so excited about her party and her new party dress. She loved us singing to her and even blew out her candle, well almost! She loved all her new toys and was great at unwrapping each one. We loved having all our family and friends here to help celebrate her life. Her actual birthday is tomorrow February 10th. Two years ago Addi was born on a Friday afternoon at 4:21 p.m. She was 7 lbs 5 oz and 20 inches long. She has been a joy since the first time I held her. It was so special, because I remember the first time I held her she was crying. The minute she heard my voice she stopped crying, opened her eyes and looked at me. I felt she knew exactly who I was and my heart just melted. Since then, Addi has been a big mama's girl. It's fun for me to have my last baby love to be with me soooo much! She completes our family and we are so happy to celebrate two wonderful years of her life. It has gone by so quickly, and I try to treasure each day! This is a pretty long post as I have put many pictures celebrating her life. We love you Addi!!!!
Here is our little "glow worm" right before going home for the first time. She seems so little!
A happy new mama sharing one of her first moments with her new baby girl.
A couple of close ups of our last little one. Our baby of the family!
I had to put in a picture from her first birthday too. Look how much she has grown!
Here are a few pictures of our "party room"! Addi LOVES balloons so we sort of had a balloon theme with all shades of pink! Pink is always easy to do around this time of year because there are so many pretty things out there for Valentine's Day!
Of course I had to make a special birthday hat for Addi!
We went outside to take some pictures because it was such a beautful day! I found Addi's dress on Etsy and thought it turned out really cute! Her Grandma Griner actually bought it for her for her birthday. She looks so pretty!
Addi was seeing all her presents and you can tell she is excited. Notice the tractor in her hand. Landon is really rubbing off on her :)
I had asked her if she liked her new dress and she gave me this cute little girl pose. I guess that means she likes it. She was running around showing it to everyone!
Here are some more pictures from our "outdoor photo shoot". It was funny, because Ryan, Sam and I were all outside taking pictures. Addi was a celebrity at her party!
Landon was getting in on the fun too!
Here Addi was laughing at Landon who was at the time, diving in the leaves. I had told him he could not go in the sandbox because I did not want him to get dirty, I guess he thought diving in dirty leaves would be better!
Addi really enjoyed opening her gifts this year and is getting really good at it!
Andi is helping her with her new tool box. Addi loves to open and close these boxes and organize her toys in all the compartments. Strange gift for a two year old, but she loves them. We filled hers with stickers, which is another favorite.
Uncle Dave and Aunt Samantha gave Addi her first doodle pro and it was a hit!
She can really tear that paper!
Uncle Bryan and Aunt Ryan and Mary Paul gave Addi a fridge farm. Mary Paul has one and Addi loves playing with hers. Now she can play with it while she is in the kitchen with me when I cook dinner. She loves to be with me while I am cooking dinner, and now she can stay busy too.
We got her a play tent with butterflies on it. She LOVES it. We call it her playhouse. She was having so much fun in it. Notice she is now without her dress. We took it off for cake, which she surprisingly did not eat much of. I think she just wanted to play with all her new toys!
Mama with her baby girl!
Our friends from church DeAnna, Allie and Mya came to the party too and gave her this purple car. So sweet of them to come! Addi has really taken to DeAnna which for Addi is a big deal. There are very few people she will go to.
Addi was excited about this big gift. It was her "playhouse".
Here we are admiring her new shoes from G-Mama. She got some great spring clothes to go with them too. It was so much fun!

Weekend Candids!
Here are just a few weekend candids that I wanted to show. You can see how Andi and Addi are really becoming great buds. I don't know if you can tell, but Addi is wearing Mike's boots in the first picture. In the second picture Addi and Andi are being crazy silly. They love to play and wrestle together. Addi is just learning how to ride horseback! The picture of Andi is Friday night before the Valentine's Dance. Doesn't she look pretty!!! She had a great time and danced the night away with friends! She too seems to grow so quickly!!

All Better!!!!
The Griners have returned from the depths of gross tummy virus, just in time to celebrate Addi's second birthday this weekend. We are all looking forward to her party and seeing all of our family on Saturday.
I decided to finally get some new pictures on the blog site. These are just a bunch of candids that I have taken here and there. Warning they are completely out of order. I don't think I'll ever get that down. I hope everyone else is doing good and thanks for all the well wishes you left us!!
I am sure I'll have a big party post coming up next week!! Until then....
Addi enjoying her bath with lots of bubbles!
John giving me a picture before he left to go to his friends house. It was the FIRST time he has driven himself all alone anywhere. He took the old Sundance and is doing good driving the clutch. He made it there safely and home safely. Needless, to say it was a little nerve racking waiting to hear from him. He is growing up so FAST!!
Landon excited about his big ice cream!! I used to love to eat these sunday cones when I was little. What am I saying, I still like to eat them. As a matter of fact, I helped both Landon and Addi finish theirs!!
Addi happy with her ice cream as well. She wishes it was one of the four food groups!
Addi back in the bath, actually giving me a little smile for the camera.
Landon's hair started looking really crazy!!
Addi back in the bubbles!! They love bubbles in the bath!
Here you can see Addi's attitude! When your doing something she does not like, she has her own way of letting you know. Even with her mouth full of sucker!
Landon and Addi watching a movie. They love to lay all over this ottoman. Notice Addi's princess top. She only wanted to wear the top, not the skirt. It looked pretty funny with her sweat pants!
Addi just "hanging out" while watching the movie. She rarely sits still!
Here is Addi's attitude once again. She can be so jealous of her mommy daddy time. Can you blame her though, she never gets us alone! She has no problem letting Landon know how she feels!
When Addi first saw her big ice cream cone I think she was in a little shock. They don't ususally get big desserts so this was a treat! After all, it was Super Bowl Sunday! A great game too!!
