Vacation Fripp 2007

We had a wonderful vacation last week on Fripp Island. I fell in love with the island and I am already having withdrawls not being with everyone. I am so thankful that we have a family that has so much fun together. We got to do many things! Here are just a few: Beach fun (which Addi was not a big fan of yet...), pool fun, visit to Charleston, two additional family members for the week (John and Andi each brought a friend), golf cart fun, ladie's lunch at the golf course, round of golf and driving range, shopping, couples dinner at one of the island's seafood restaurants, catching a movie, feeding the deer (we named one Elvis), seafood feast, and the finale of the Treasure Hunt all over the island. We had such a good time and I wanted to share a few pictures with you guys. Summer will be over soon and school will soon be here. I can't hardly believe it! My older kids are getting ready for school to start and are looking forward to it. That is a blessing! Until then......

JULY 4th FUN!!

We had a fun July 4th. We started the day with yard work (always fun...) and then had a filling lunch complete with a cake that looked like our American flag. Then we went to downtown Kingston to watch Exit 352 jam out by the lake. It was a lot of fun and it really wasn't too hot. The little ones played on the playground and then I took then home to get cleaned up and got to bed. They were very tired. Mike and the big kids stayed for the fireworks show over the lake which got rave reviews. It lasted over 20 min and they all three said it was really great! Hope everyone else had a good 4th too! Here are a few pics of Exit 352 and their fans!!

Enjoying the New Playground....

I wanted to show a few pictures of everyone enjoying the new swing set and sandbox. Landon and Addi were so excited to try it out. Actually, everyone enjoyed trying out the new swings. I think they swing pretty good, if I do say so myself. Mike and I even tried to teach Landon how to pump his legs while swinging and of course do the Superman! You do know what the Superman is don't you?

The Griner Playground!!

This past Saturday Mike, with the help of John and Andi, began building our playground for the kids. They started working early in the morning building the swingset first and then finished up around lunch time with the sandbox. We can already tell that it is a hit! Landon, Addi and the whole family have been swinging and playing in the sand. Landon especially loves the sandbox to play with all his trucks in. He also loves to lay down and "rest" in the sand, as he says it. Addi loves the swing and the higher the better. Andi and John were great workers and made a special memory working with their dad on this project. We plan on adding a platform complete with climbing wall, slides and other fun things too over time. We know it will be a fun place to make many memories for the Griners as well as all the cousins too!

Our First Mary Paul Babysitting Job!

This past Friday we got to babysit little Mary Paul for the first time! It was so much fun and gave mom a well deserved break! Mary Paul did great and did not cry at all! Either we were really lucky or she just LOVES being at her Aunt Ashley's house. I, of course, prefer to think the latter. She went right to sleep at bedtime and stayed asleep until mama got home. Landon, Addi, and Andi all had fun entertaining her. She was definatly not lacking for stimulation! Thanks Ryan and Bryan for trusting us with your sweet Mary Paul!
