Fall Begins, Georgia Wins and We Take a Trip to Jack Daniel's Country!!

Well, what a crazy last few weeks!! The last 3 of 4 weekends, I have been working so it has been a while since I have had the time to update my blog. I find it harder and harder these days to have "computer time"! As a result, my posts seem to get longer and longer covering more and more time at once. This post begins with our family celebration of September and October birthdays that we had at our house the end of September. It was so nice to all be together and celebrate. It gets more and more entertaining to see all the cousins together.

The next couple of weekends I worked all weekend, so Mike held down the fort with all the kids and their activities. John and Andi have marching band competitions every Saturday in October and of course football games every Friday night. They are still having a great time during football season and have been doing great at their competitions. You can see Mike's inventive idea for Landon's truck below. It is our version of the "redneck truck", after all we do live in TN! More than that, we live in East TN!

This past weekend, Mike stayed home with the older kids to be with them at their band competition and I went with the younger kids to a family reunion on my mom's side. The reunion was in Lynchburg, TN at the Jack Daniel's distillery. Interesting place to have a reunion, but the venue was really beautiful! Landon, Addi and I spent the night in a hotel with my mom and the little ones got a big kick out of that. They did so great!! The night before the reunion we went to a pumpkin patch and did the animal, hayride, pumpkin thing. It was a great night and we had lots of fun. The next day was the reunion and we had such a wonderful time seeing everyone. We were all exhausted by the time we got home last night, and between church and unpacking have been trying to catch up today.

John and Andi are on Fall break this week, but Landon and Addi still have preschool, so I will still be working. Next week, we go to Athens, GA for the GA / Vandy game and I can't wait!!! It'll probably be another big post!! Until then....

Sam bringing in the birthday cake!!

Addi has really been into dressing up lately!! What a princess! She has decided to be Cinderella for Halloween!

Family getting ready to "eat cake"!

Kaori wanted some cake too!

Landon giving Addi some driving directions before giving her ride in the truck.

Landon pulling into the driveway complete with his shades!

Our version of a "redneck truck", but at least it's a Georgia flag and not the alternative rebel flag!

Landon practicing being prince charming!!

Landon and Addi were very excited about the tractor at the pumpkin patch!!

Landon and Addi admiring the chickens!

I know I must be a city girl, because I never knew they could grow squash that looked like this!!

Landon and Addi enjoying the pumpkins!

Getting ready for a ride!! Addi was bringing her baby too!

Landon going down a big slide at the pumpkin patch! They LOVED this long slide!!

Addi climbing up on the tires!

Landon and Addi ready to ride the horse, even though it did not move!!

A close up of my two little ones in front of the tractor!!

Landon and Addi on the hayride!

Landon giving a funny smile!!

Addi making a very appropriate "political statement"!!

Addi getting ready to go down the slide. She loved it too!!

Mary Paul showing off her "split"!!

Great Uncle Phillip, he is 89 years old. He is one of GG's older brothers.

Landon and his car suitcase that he takes with him every where we travel. It is filled with, you guessed it, TRUCKS!

Do you think Addi was excited about the hayride???

Landon riding on the hayride. He got a little spooked out in the dark, because G-Mama was telling him some "scarey stories".

Sam with a sleepy Kaori!

Some of the reunion group.

Dave and Kaori!! Look at those legs!

What a cutie!!!

Look at my princess!!

Landon was in heaven, they even had a Jack Daniel's race car!!!

Some more of the family!!

What a close up!!!

Landon was making some funny faces while I was trying to get his picture!!

Mary Paul relaxing on the bench.

All three cousins taking some rest time!!

Landon and Addi had fun getting in some rock climbing too!!

Me and the kids overlooking the mountains. Addi was getting a little tired by this point!

Mary Paul with a very pensive look....

Jack Daniels sign and logo on one of the venue buildings. The venue was really beautiful!!

This venue was so large and pretty located on top of a mountain. I could imagine a wedding there, even though it might be weird to say you were getting married at Jack Daniels.

Landon and Addi had fun chilling in the rocking chairs.

This picture really doesn't do the view justice! The sun was really too bright for the picture, but it was really beautiful!!

What a wonderful post! IN the first close up picture of Addi, she looks so much like you Ashley! Wow! What a beauty. The weekend was so fun and it looks like you had a blast at the pumpkin patch! That is always fun. Your pictures are so good and it was fun to look at all of them.

What a fabulous post! You guys have been busy. I love Lynchburg - such a gorgeous area of TN. Glad you got to enjoy it! All your pictures are wonderful - I especially love the close up of Addi. Ethan and Landon would get along so well with their Car suitcases full of trucks! We must get them together again!
